Trustees of MERRY

The MERRY TRUST is the formal charity set up to carry on the work of the MERRYMAKERS, a group of friends, pupils, relatives and contacts pulled together by Jani to help young people in Mozambique and Deptford. A few of those people are shown below and you can click here to skip past them to our history.  This history is a work in progress and if you have more  details or anecdotes that you think we could include in our story PLEASE email one of us and we’ll add them.

FOUNDER

Jani Llewellyn

Jani Llewellyn 1955-2001

Jani trained as a teacher at Goldsmiths and this area became her home for the rest of her life; most of it spent teaching in local primary schools.

There’s lots more about her in the history , but to those who knew her energy and belief she was simply inspirational and we loved her.
